           CASO CLÍNICO

                               LIPOSARCQMA DE HIPOFARINGE:

                                   A PROPÓSITO DE UM CASO.
HYPOPHARYNGEAL LIPOSARCOMA: REPORT OF A CASE.

              Liposarcoma, Hipotaringe, Laringe, Desditerenciado.

           SUMMARY:
Primary liposarcomas of the larynx and hypopharynx are extraordinarily rare tumors, with fewer than 50 cases identified in the available literature. Most
of them belong to welldifierentiated type, deditterentiated liposarcomo are defined as welldiflerentiated liposarcoma with areas of highgrade spindle cell
           non»lipogenic sarcoma.
We present a case of dedifferenlioted liposarcoma arising from the hypopharyx, we propose a conservative treatment and review of the literature with
special emphasis on treatment and prognosis of this kind of tumor.

INTRODUCTION liposarcomas“, and they often originate in the
soft tissues of the neck. Primary liposarcomas of
Liposarcoma is the second most common soft the larynx and hypopharynx are exceedingly
tissue sarcoma in the adult population, account- rare, the first case was reported by Miller et al in
ing for approximately 15% of all sarcomas. It is 19758. Fewer than 50 cases have been identified
most commonly found in the lower extremities in the available literature5 ‘5, most of them belong
and the retroperitoneum. The incidence in the to well-diFlerentiated type. We present a case of
head and neck is between 3% and 8% of all deditferentiated liposarcoma in the hypopharyx.
